Mason Greenwood will not be returning to training or playing anymore matches for the club until further notice, it has been announced in a statement.
Everyone has seen the distressing photos and audio clips involving Greenwood and his long-term girlfriend Harriet Robson. To be honest, it all turned my stomach and it puts us all in an uncomfortable situation, with this being an academy graduate we once painted as our Starboy.
Greenwood already risks losing Nike as a boot sponsor and the Greater Manchester Police has issued a statement on the abuse allegations. There is already hard evidence out there in the public and the story is bound to develop over time.
Paul Hirst of The Times has tweeted a new statement as Manchester United announce Greenwood will not be taking part in club duties for the foreseeable future.
