Turkish giants Fenerbahçe have been dealt a huge setback ahead of their meeting with Manchester United in the Europa League.
Manchester United travel to Istanbul on Wednesday after theirfinal training session on home soil.
United and Fenerbahce both need a result and Jose Mourinho will be looking to cause another one of his upsets in European competition.
The focus here is usually on the lack of availability in United’s squad, with injuries currently spreading across our defence. Harry Maguire is the latest to be ruled out for weeks.
Fenerbahce star ruled out for months
However, Fenerbahce have some issues of their own heading into the game.
According to Turkish outlet Sebah, Jayden Oosterwolde has been ruled out for up to five months with a cruciate ligament injury. The 23-year-old defender sustained his injury in the weekend draw against Samsunspor.
United will be without Bruno Fernandes through suspension after his two yellow cards against FC Porto led to a dismissal in the previous Europa League fixture.
The Reds are also without Leny Yoro, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Mason Mount.
Fenerbahce were without several players at the weekend, including Irfan Egribayat, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Cengiz Under and Ismail Yuksek.
