Manchester United sell second youngster to FC Utrecht

Bjorn Hardley becomes the second Manchester United youngster to move to FC Utrecht on a permanent transfer this summer.

The 20-year-old defender links up with Zidane Iqbal, who joined the Eredivisie club earlier this summer, with his transfer confirmed by ManUtd.com.

Hardley leaves United after spending four years as part of the youth set-up. Now, he leaves in search of regular first team football in his homeland and we wish him well.

However, it’s understood Hardley will initially join FC Utrecht’s youth side FC Jong.

He departs the club after making 85 appearances for the youth sides.

Hopefully, Hardley can go make something of his career in the Netherlands and use the experiences he gained at United to his advantage.

That’s all you can ask for when it comes to a youth player who doesn’t make the grade.
