Manchester United youngster set for Hibernian return

Manchester United defender Will Fish will join Hibernian on another season-long loan.

Fish, 20, has been named in Erik ten Hag’s 26-man squad for today’s pre-season friendly against Leeds in Oslo.

The defender is also expected to travel to Edinburgh for next Wednesday’s game against Lyon at Murrayfield.

After that, the Manchester Evening News believe Fish will begin preparations for the new season with Hibs.

Fish was a regular at Hibs last season and it’s clear from this move that United want to ensure he gets more senior football under his belt.

On top of that, it’s telling that Hibs wanted him back for next season. He must have left a good impression there.

Fish started 17 consecutive games in the league before his last deal expired. Hopefully he will get a chance to feature against Leeds or Lyon.
