Stretty News spoke to Hammers News writer Antony Martin  – a lifelong supporter of West Ham.

The Red Army travels to London on Sunday in a must-win clash as we look to secure a place in the top four. On the other hand, West Ham are trying to avoid the drop.

It hasn’t been a good season for West Ham. Do you have enough to avoid the drop?

Antony: “I think we just about have enough, another 3 points should do it. Our final two games against Leeds and Leicester will be key.”

What’s the general feeling among West Ham fans about David Moyes?

Antony: “The majority of West Ham fans are grateful for what Moyes has done for us but feel like he’s well past his sell by date now. The football is boring, predictable and way too negative. We want to see our team attack the big teams like we have historically done.”

Which United player, if any, would you like to see at West Ham?

Antony: “Realistically? I would love Wan-Bissaka, McTominay or Maguire.”

We aren’t scoring enough goals but West Ham are conceding plenty. How do you see the game going on Sunday?

Antony: “I actually fancy us getting a result – 2-2. I’d bite your hand off for that if you offered it to me now to be fair.”

Which players should we watch out for on current form?

Antony: “Jarrod Bowen has hit form at the right time and Michail Antonio is slowly getting back to his best. If Declan Rice plays he will be hard to stop and Lucas Paqueta is a genius when he’s on song.”

What do you think of Manchester United a) the club; b) the team; c) the fans and d) the manager?

Antony: “Since I’ve been watching football Man United have always been a really exciting team to watch, until Moyes took over.

“I feel like Erik ten Hag is building something exciting at Old Trafford although the Antony signing was questionable, especially for the price. Great away fans, ‘tourist’ home support, much like West Ham since we moved away from Upton Park.”

High and low point as an West Ham fan this season?

Antony: “There have been too many low points to name but I would have to go for our 4-0 defeat away to Brighton. We were absolutely terrible and it just seemed like the players didn’t care. High point was probably qualifying for the semi final of the Europa Conference League.”

All-time West Ham cult hero and why?

Antony: “For me it was Julian Dicks, the bloke gave his all every game and was as hard as nails. More recently – Craig Dawson.”

Favourite West Ham XI from players you have seen?

Antony: “Ludo Miklosko, Julian Dicks, Craig Dawson, Rio Ferdinand, Tim Breacker, Declan Rice, Joe Cole, Michael Carrick, Paolo Di Canio, Carlos Tevez, Tony Cottee.”
