David Ornstein doesn’t believe Manchester United will have a lot of money to spend in January.
The reliable journalist, who writes for The Athletic, appeared on NBC Sports tonight for their coverage of Leeds United vs Manchester City.
NBC Sports took the opportunity to get an update from Ornstein on all things United.
Ornstein repeats claims that were reported this afternoon about United seeking the transfer market for a striker on loan for the remainder of the season.
When it comes to Cody Gakpo, who will be a Liverpool player in the New Year, Ornstein says there was admiration from Old Trafford but instead they will prioritising a central striker.
You can see why the Glazers are extra reluctant to let the manager spend in January, with the Raine Group aiming to complete the sale of Manchester United in the first quarter of 2023, as Ornstein explains in the video below.
"They're aiming for a complete sale of Manchester United in the first quarter of 2023."
Premier League insider @David_Ornstein reveals that Man United are looking to bring in Joao Felix on loan due to a potential sale of the club.
