Erling Haaland pushing Jude Bellingham to join Manchester City

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is reportedly pushing Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham to join him at The Etihad.

There’s a lot of speculation surrounding the future of Jude Bellingham and Manchester United are among the clubs linked with the 19-year-old midfield.

I would go as far to say you can expect a bidding war in the summer of 2023.

Especially when you see the non-stop speculation in the press about where Bellingham is likely to end up next. Apparently, his wish is to sign for Real Madrid, yet Manchester City are reportedly convinced they can bring him to the Premier League. Liverpool are believed to be in the running too.

However, City may have an advantage with Haaland being at the club. The pair are believed to have a strong relationship from the time they spent together in Germany.

According to CBS Sports – as cited by The Mirror – Haaland has urged Bellingham to follow in his footsteps by leaving Dortmund for City.

Haaland has been an instant success at City and you can imagine he will have a part to play in influencing future targets to join our rivals.

Meanwhile, former United goalkeeper Ben Foster has argued that Bellingham would thrive at United more than he would at a club like City.

Whatever happens… Dortmund are guaranteed to make a profit on another young English player. The question is will it be United that fund their successful model?
