Bayern Munich enter race for Robert Lewandowski replacement amid Manchester United interest

Bayern Munich have chosen a Robert Lewandowski replacement.

Barcelona are keen on signing the Polish striker this summer and that means the Bavarian giants will be in the market for a new number nine. Hopefully that means they need to sell star midfielder Frenkie de Jong, with United interested in the Dutch midfielder.

According to Diario AS, Ajax’s Sebastien Haller is the man Bayern want to lead the line if Lewandowski leaves.

This news will be of interest to Manchester United fans because it was reported earlier this week that Erik ten Hag could take Haller with his to Old Trafford.

The 27-year-old may have been a flop during his first spell in the Premier League at West Ham, but Haller has been incredible for Ajax, especially in the Champions League this season.

This season he has 33 goals in an Ajax shirt.

Bayern have been linked with an array of Ajax players this summer – including Ryan Gravenberch, Noussair Mazraoui and Jurrien Timber. Ten Hag might have something to say about that as he plans his move to Manchester.
