Manchester United have crashed out of the Champions League.
The Red Devils, led by German interim boss Ralf Rangnick, hosted Atletico Madrid in a second leg knockout tie on Tuesday night at Old Trafford.
The blockbuster encounter, which was the sequel to a 1-1 draw at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium two weeks ago, saw the Spaniards run out narrow 1-0 winners.
With the United faithful left frustrated, upon the referee’s final whistle, sections of fans in attendance were spotted hurling missiles and bottles at opposition manager Diego Simeone.
