Manchester United transfer target Antony keen on Premier League switch

Antony is one of the latest names to be linked with Manchester United, with the possibility of a move for the Ajax winger in the summer transfer window.

The Brazilian has impressed for the Dutch giants this season and he’s not ruling out a move to the Premier League down the line.

He told Telegraaf in a recent interview: “Ajax is the place where I feel happy. But of course I do think about a move in the future sometimes. Premier League and La Liga are the leagues I find beautiful. When the time is right, I hope to play there.”

The quotes have been relayed by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano via Twitter.

Manchester United are in for a busy summer in terms of incomings and outgoings. With a number of players set to leave the club for free there could be gaps to fill.

A move for Antony, one of the most exciting talents in the Eredivisie, does not seem to be completely out of the question. New signing Jadon Sancho looks most suited to the left flank and that means we still have a hole on the right flank, which could change if Marcus Rashford hits form between now and the end of the season.

Edinson Cavani, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and Paul Pogba are all expected to leave United when their contracts expire – with little talk in the media about any of them agreeing to fresh terms at the club. Plus, uncertainty over Anthony Martial’s future could leave the next manager with no choice but to invest in forward players.

The Reds have also been linked with a move for Ajax manager Erik ten Hag.
