Cristiano Ronaldo will consider Manchester United future after manager appointment

Cristiano Ronaldo could quit Manchester United if he does not approve of the next manager, according to reports.

It seems like Jorge Mendes’ recent interview has been ignored by the media, with the Daily Star claiming the 36-year-old could leave Old Trafford for a second time if he does not agree with the future appointment.

This comes days after Mendes said his client was happy at United, though that is not to say he isn’t disappointed with the results we’ve had since the beginning of the season.

Unfortunately, under Ralf Rangnick, the performances have regressed in a way no-one could have imagined.

The report adds that Ronaldo would not be happy if Rangnick was handed the job on a full-time basis.

Ronaldo signed a contract in the summer that keeps him at Old Trafford until 2023, but United’s next decision could sway the attacker to leave before the deal expires.

Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag have been linked with the full-time manager’s position at United.

SN’s verdict…

As we pointed out tonight with Gabriel Agbonlahor, everyone is looking for a story around Ronaldo, and if he’s not causing problems he’s looking for an exit out of United.
