Tottenham Hotspur linked striker wants Manchester move

According to recent reports, despite being linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton striker Danny Ings would rather move to either Manchester club.

That’s according to a recent report from talkSPORT, who claims the English striker is ‘holding out’ for either Manchester United or Manchester City to make a move for him.

However, the outlet claims that even though the forward has ambitions to move to one of Manchester’s biggest clubs, the Saints have yet to receive a single enquiry for the player.

When asked for an update on the striker’s situation, the outlet’s transfer expert Alex Crook said:  “If a big team comes in for him and that hasn’t happened. I should stress that there hasn’t been a single enquiry.

“He’s got his sights set on Manchester United or Man City, I’m not sure either of those clubs are going to start banging on the door.”

It has been suggested in recent weeks that Ings has rejected multiple attempts by Southampton to renew his contact (The Athletic) – all of which he has turned down.

Since joining Southampton from Liverpool in 2018 he has gone on to feature in 100 matches, in all competitions, directly contributing to 56 goals, along the way.
