Facundo Pellistri wants Manchester United stay after Alavés loan spell

There has been some talk about another loan spell for Facundo Pellistri, but the Uruguayan winger sounds like he wants to stay and fight for game time with Manchester United’s first team.

Pellistri scored United’s second goal against Derby County in today’s 2-1 win.

Like all pre-season games, it was about building fitness and getting ready for the competitive season. The lads impressed today and Pellistri stood out as one of the best players in the second half.

Speaking to MUTV after the match, Pellistri, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Spanish club Alavés, made his intentions for the coming months clear (quotes from @UtdDistrict):

It will be a mighty challenge for Pellistri to make an impact on the first team this season, with Jadon Sancho’s imminent arrival as well as Amad Diallo competing for a place as back-up winger with Wales star Daniel James.

Maybe a loan to another Premier League club would be the best option for the coming season, if the opportunity is there…
