Bayer Leverkusen star compared to Sadio Mane on Man United’s summer shortlist

There are some random claims coming out of Spain – outlet AS have reported that United are not only interested in, but also ‘willing to bid’ for Bayer Leverkusen attacker Moussa Diaby.

Diaby, 21, arrived at Bayer Leverkusen in 2019 after being let go by Paris-Saint Germain.

Since breaking onto the Bundesliga scene, Diaby, perhaps with a point to prove, has grown to become a valued member of Peter Bosz’s team.

After featuring in 35 matches so far this season, the young Frenchman has directly contributed to a respectable 21 goals, in all competitions.

The 21-year-old’s output as well as his overall style of play has seen him draw recent comparisons to Liverpool’s Sadio Mane.

In light of Diaby’simpressive campaign, the young attacker has seen his name linked with a host of top European clubs – one of which being Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United.

It’s no great secret that the Red Devils are keen to land a wide-attacker in the summer, especially after their previous attempts to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho fell through.

Following in the long line of left-sided wingers – the Red Devils have recently been linked with a summer move for Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Pedro Neto.

However, AS’ most recent report, which is centred around Diaby, details how both United and Bayern Munich are ‘willing to bid’ for his services.

It has been claimed that Diaby would be available this summer no less than €40m (£34m) – both Arsenal and Dortmund were rumoured to have been in talks with the player’s agent last summer.
