Video: Emotional scenes as Man Utd fan recovers from COVID-19 and is greeted by wife

A Manchester United supporter was greeted by his wife as he left hospital after recovering from coronavirus.

Steve Donoghue, who is said to be the founder of StretfordEnders, survived after being tested positive for COVID-19 thanks to the remarkable work by NHS workers in Crumpsall Vale.

Donoghue wore his brilliant Denis ‘The King’ law t-shirt as he exited the hospital to the applause of staff and was met outside by his wife who warmly embraced him.

The news of his recovery was greatly received by a number of well-wishers on social media.

NHS staff are doing incredible work on the frontline to help save people’s lives and we urge people to maintain social distancing and adhere to government guidelines in order to protect the country’s greatest institution.
