Man Utd handed transfer boost as Sevilla close in on €40m star’s replacement

Manchester United look to have been handed a boost in their reported pursuit of Sevilla striker Wissam Ben Yedder.

The La Liga side are close to confirming the signing of PSV Eindhoven’s striker Luuk de Jong, who is set to have a medical before completing the move.

De Jong’s arrival at Sevilla could act as a replacement for Ben Yedder, who the Reds have been linked with this week.

According to La Colina de Nervion, United have already agreed terms with the Frenchman who is open to a move to England this summer.

The 28-year-old made 41 goal contributions for Sevilla last term (whoscored) and would potentially be an excellent replacement for Romelu Lukaku who seems to have his heart set on a move to Serie A.
