Inter make bizarre €10m loan plus obligation to buy offer for Lukaku

Inter Milan are about to make an official bid for Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku, according to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Romano claims Inter are set to firstly offer €10m for a two-year loan deal, plus an obligation to buy the Belgian for €60m at the end of the loan spell. This would make the total deal worth €70m over a three-year period, despite reports United are holding out for £80m for their man.

This is a bizarre offer for Lukaku and it is clear that Inter are struggling for funds to sign Antonio Conte’s top summer target.

Mauro Icardi had been reportedly offered to United as a bargaining chip in the deal but manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not seem interested in the Argentine.

I doubt that United will accept this deal and will hold out for cash upfront for the maligned Belgian. Lukaku has made clear his desire to leave Old Trafford this summer, and it now just seems a matter of whether Inter can make a suitable offer.
