It was confirmed on Friday that Manchester United youth team player Ethan Hamilton had agreed to join Rochdale on loan for the rest of the season.
Hamilton, 20, is yet to make a senior appearance for the Reds, but he got the nod from Rochdale manager Keith Hill for today’s Football League One clash away to Peterborough.
The United loanee started against Peterborough in midfield and managed to score a consolation goal in injury time.

While it’s a kick in the teeth to start with a loss, Hamilton can rest assured knowing he’s off the mark in a Rochdale shirt.
And, what a strike it was too!
From 30-yards he fires the ball into the top corner, as described by the official Rochdale Twitter account.

Rochdale are currently 19th in League One but are just five points off tenth place, which shows how competitive lower league football can be.
It would be great to see Hamilton bag more goals between now and the end of the season to ensure safety for The Dale.
