Exclusive: Peterborough United express excitement after signing Man United youngster

Manchester United academy product Ethan Hamilton has today made the permanent switch to League One side Peterborough United in a free transfer which sees him sign for The Posh on a two-year-deal.

Hamilton, 21, has finally found out where he will ply his trade on a permanent basis after a string of loan spells failed to see him move further up the United ranks.

The young midfielder’s move to Peterborough was announced earlier today on the club’s owner Darragh MacAnthony’s official Instagram account.

Stretty News reached out to Peterborough’s club officials and asked for their thoughts on Hamilton’s transfer, club press officer Phil Adlam said: “Ethan is somebody that the manager has kept an eye on for the last 12 months. He is a stylish left footed midfield player who will bring balance.

He trained today for the first time after completing formalities.

He knows league one well following loan spells at Bolton, Rochdale and Southend.”

We wish Ethan all the best in the next chapter in his professional career.
