Predicted MUFC line-up that should blow Bournemouth out of the water

Manchester United should be beating Bournemouth home and away.

No excuses.

The Cherries are blooming under Eddie Howe, who makes them better year after year, and it’s only a matter of time before he’s offered a job elsewhere he won’t be able to turn down.

After 10 games this campaign, Bournemouth have three more points (20) than United and a significant goal difference (7+), meaning they’ve outscored every team outside of the top four.

This weekend they host a United side with a woeful defence – an area they will certainly look to exploit.

We can expect to see Romelu Lukaku return to the starting line-up after being dropped to the bench for our previous outing against Everton. Mourinho has confirmed that Alexis Sanchez and Jesse Lingard are available after returning from injuries, as per The Express, though we think both players will be substitutes for the trip to Bournemouth.

However, Marcus Rashford will be in contention given he started last weekend.

The back four will remain the same from the 2-1 win over Everton – Luke Shaw, Victor Lindelof, Chris Smalling, Ashley Young – as the Swede looks to build on his two previous performance and begin to show consistency in a United shirt. Smalling, however, is the only member of that defence we would replace.

Paul Pogba is sure to start in midfield but the other two places are up for grabs. The manager is likely to stand by Nemanja Matic, despite appearing well past his best, and we’d like to see Fred get more game time under his belt. That leaves Juan Mata out, who, in all fairness, has done little wrong in recent weeks to be dropped…

The team below is what we’ve gone for, with the view of blowing Howe’s side out of the water. Bournemouth have done brilliantly thus far but with Anthony Martial in top form, hopefully, Mourinho lets the rest of this attack release the shackles and really have a go.

Expect goals.
