Manchester United’s long-serving receptionist Kath Phipps attended the world premiere of ‘99’, a new documentary on our treble-winning season, with cameras capturing a moment she shared with David Beckham.
The beloved receptionist became an icon at Manchester United before finally retiring from her role in 2022.
Kath became a staple at United’s training ground after initially joining the club in 1968 under Sir Matt Busby. She’s now adored by fans, players and staff alike.
Being on the front desk for the world’s biggest football club was never going to be a quiet job – but a lot changed over the many years she spent at the club – particularly when superstars like Beckham dominated the news.
As seen in the video below, Beckham takes a moment with Kath at the premiere, which was held at The Printworks in Manchester.
