It has been an awful season for Manchester United with few positives. The silver lining has been the emergence of Kobbie Mainoo, who gives every Red something to get excited about.

The 18-year-old midfielder continues to impress for United, and today he has been rewarded for his standout performances after being voted the club’s Player of the Month for January.

Mainoo collected 63% of the vote for this month’s award (via ManUtd.com) after registering his first senior goal for the club in the FA Cup fourth round tie against Newport County.

This is Mainoo’s first individual award as a first-team player at United. I have a strong feeling it won’t be his last.

Meanwhile, Rasmus Hojlund’s strike against Tottenham was voted Manchester United Goal of the Month for January.
