United among three PL clubs chasing teenage starlet who delivered Champions League dagger in Group A

Manchester United are believed to be interested in signing teenage starlet Roony Bardghji, whom Copenhagen are ‘ready to sell’.

As per 90min, the Red Devils have joined Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea in pursuit of the 18-year-old, with the latter looking to poke their noses in front by agreeing a deal that sees Bardghji sign for the Blues before returning to Copenhagen for the second half of the campaign. Then, he would make the permanent switch to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2024.

Bardghji has found the back of the net 10 times already this term, with perhaps his most significant contribution coming against United in a Champions League group-stage clash; on November 8, he entered the fold in the 63rd minute as a substitute and went on to score a crucial, 87th-minute winner at Parken.

His contribution, which sealed all three points against the three-time winners of the competition, helped Copenhagen on their way to securing a last-16 spot, pipping European giants United and Galatasaray to a second-placed finish.

Bardghji eyeing Sweden call-up

Outside of club action, Bardghji is an under-21 international for Sweden, though he is tipped to break through into the senior squad in the near future. Should his development continue on the upward trajectory it’s on, he could be in line to make their senior squad in 2024, as he’s certainly proven that he can come up and provide for his team in high-stakes matches.
