Fresh injury blow for United sees winger round off potential nine-man absentee list for Goodison Park trip

Facundo Pellistri reportedly sustained an injury on international duty with Uruguay and could consequently be ruled out of Manchester United’s clash with Everton on Sunday, as per Manchester Evening News.

The 21-year-old rounds off a potential nine-man absentee list for the weekend’s trip to Goodison Park after he was substituted early during his nation’s 3-0 win over Bolivia on Tuesday.

Rasmus Hojlund is expected to be omitted from the matchday squad after tweaking his hamstring against Luton Town prior to the international break, which led to him withdrawing from the Denmark squad – as did Christian Eriksen with a knee problem.

United’s debilitating injury crisis

Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia, Amad Diallo, Casemiro and Jonny Evans are all confirmed to be out.

United will also be waiting on the status of Andre Onana; he injured his pubis during a World Cup qualifier with Cameroon but has trained at Carrington this week.

On a more positive note, Luke Shaw is in line to make his long-awaited comeback versus the Toffees after this three-month layoff.
