Luke Shaw has returned to first-team training after a period in the treatment room with injury.
Manchester United’s primary left-back has been absent with a muscular injury since the 2-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur on August 19, but he returned to training with the main group at Carrington today and could be in contention to face Everton on Sunday.
The Reds are on their travels again in the Premier League this weekend with a trip to Goodison Park on the cards for Erik ten Hag and his players. This news could mean that Shaw is available to return to the manager’s line-up, which would be a much needed boost for the team ahead of the festive period.
United have shared a video on X, formerly known as Twitter, showing Shaw being put through his paces with the group at Carrington this morning.

Shaw started both of United’s first two games of the season against Wolves and Tottenham, but he has not been able to make an appearance since then.
In his absence, we’ve seen a number of players thrown into the left-back role, including: Diogo Dalot, Sergio Reguilon, Victor Lindelof and Sofyan Amrabat.
