Video: ‘My biggest concern’ – Singer highlights worrying elements at United and prospect of Ten Hag leaving

Manchester United fan Olly Murs has shared his thoughts on Erik ten Hag’s tenure thus far and where it all seems to be going wrong at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have undergone their worst start to a season in 61 years, having sustained five losses in the Premier League, three in the Champions League and an early Carabao Cup exit.

Given last term’s successes of putting an end to a six-year trophy drought and securing a much-needed third-placed finish, the significant drop-off in form has raised eyebrows amongst supporters as to why the side’s results just haven’t been up to scratch.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Murs said: “For me, I’m more concerned about how Erik ten Hag can’t seem to get a tune out the players at the moment, there seems to be something not right there. That’s what I’m worried [about] as a United fan because how can we go from last season, being third in the Premier League, winning the Carling Cup, [and] feeling like we’re moving in a certain direction. Now, we’re moving in the opposite direction so that’s my concern. The owners need to leave but this has been going on for years. For me, that’s my biggest concern.

“No [I don’t worry about Ten Hag]. I really do believe [that] if Erik was to leave tomorrow or today, who’s going to come in?  Who else is out there that you could bring in?

“The way the club is run at the moment, I think we need Ten Hag, but something needs to happen with these players.”
