Jesse Lingard impresses in Saudi Arabia with goal after four minutes

Jesse Lingard is trying to earn a permanent deal with Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq in the Saudi Pro League and he impressed in a recently friendly against Al-Khaldiya.

The former Manchester United midfielder needed just four minutes to hit the back of the net, as per The Sun.

Lingard is currently in the Middle East on a training contract but is looking for a permanent move since his contract at Nottingham Forest expired in the summer.

If all goes to plan for Lingard in Saudi, the England international will link up with compatriots Jordan Henderson and Demarai Gray.

Sadly, despite coming through the youth system at United, Lingard left Old Trafford under a grey cloud.

Many close to the situation believe Lingard became ill-advised by those close to him and it’s no wonder his career has gone down the drain.

It raises a question or two about Jadon Sancho and how his career could go the same way after blowing his chance at United.

Lingard could always become a dance teacher like his brother? Or maybe a mascot for Al-Ettifaq?
