(Video) Steve Bruce singles out Manchester United player for relentless showing vs Palace

Steve Bruce was full of praise for Manchester United after their 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace this evening.

The Red Devils booked their spot in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup after a dominant performance at Old Trafford against the Eagles.

Bruce, who won the League Cup – among many other trophies – during his time with United, was on punditry for the tie on Sky Sports and singled out Sofyan Amrabat for his display on his maiden outing in M16.

The Moroccan was forced to play out of his usual position (midfield) due to an injury to Sergio Reguilon, so Amrabat was deployed at left-back.

He certainly took the opportunity to wander up field though with United on the front foot, and demonstrated his sensational passing ability numerous times in his hour on the pitch.

Bruce’s praise for Amrabat

Post-match, Bruce told the studio: “Amrabat looked a REAL player. I mean we did question him at left-back – is he going to fit in there comfortably? I think he played everywhere but left-back! You can see he’s got a physical presence about him, which is going to be a big favour to United.”
