(Video) Mancester United legend urges Sancho to apologise to Ten Hag after latest development in public feud

Steve Bruce has urged Jadon Sancho to apologise to Erik ten Hag as their public, fiery feud continues.

Reports have already stated that the winger has refused to apologise to the Dutchman following his social media statement labelling himself a scapegoat and Ten Hag, a liar.

Consequently, Sancho has been omitted from all Manchester United matches and training with the senior squad since the incident, with the latest development confirming that he has been exiled from all first-team facilities.

The 23-year-old shows no sign of letting up anytime soon though, and currently, the most likely resolution is that he is sold in January – another four months out of action should that be the case.

Bruce weighs in on Sancho saga

Speaking after United’s Carabao Cup tie tonight, the former Red weighed in on the situation in the Sky Sports studio.

“The only way this is going to be resolved is if he goes in to say to the manager, ‘I apologise’. I’d apologise to his teammates. He can’t go on social media and start criticising the coach, at the end of the day, he’s the boss and he makes the decisions. So there’s got to be a little bit of respect there and I would urge him to get in there, knock on the door, [and] see if they can work things out.”

“Because the kid’s a talented player, we haven’t really seen the best of him here but we know that he’s got really, really good ability,” Bruce admitted. “But you can’t have the issue now where there’s rules for one and rules for another. He’s been like that – to be fair to Ten Hag – since he’s walked through the door, and he will not put up with his indiscipline.”
