Manchester United got back to winning ways over the weekend, but Erik ten Hag’s attention has since switched to the Carabao Cup. A trophy the Dutchman will want to win again this season.
This time last week we were heading to Bavaria, where United had 10 players on the injury list. That list is shorter for Crystal Palace’s visit to Old Trafford.
United were handed a boost with Mason Mount and Harry Maguire both set to be available, although we think they will be named on the bench for this one. It would be best to ease Mount back into action and I think we’ve got better options than Maguire available at the back.
Without further ado, we’ve predicted the United line-up to face Palace tomorrow including three changes from the team that beat Burnley 1-0.
Goalkeeper: Andre Onana
Some will suggest Ten Hag should hand Altay Bayindir his debut, but Onana needs more games to boost his confidence. I see absolutely no reason to change our keeper for this one because another clean sheet would do the Cameroonian the world of good.
Defence: Diogo Dalot – Victor Lindelof – Jonny Evans – Sergio Reguilon
We’ve only got two full-backs available, so they pick themselves at the moment. I don’t think Raphael Varane should be risked in Carabao Cup games – given his age and injury record – so I’d reward Evans for his performance at the weekend and stick with Lindelof.
Midfield: Sofyan Amrabat – Hannibal Mejbri – Bruno Fernandes
Casemiro may need games, but he’s another player I wouldn’t risk for this fixture. United are a Champions League outfit now and Ten Hag needs to be mindful of next week’s midweek game against Galatasaray. Bruno Fernandes is the captain and I suspect he’ll lead out the team tomorrow night. Meanwhile, Hannibal Mejbri deserves a start over Scott McTominay.
Attack: Facundo Pellistri – Rasmus Hojlund – Alejandro Garnacho
Pellistri could come back into the line up as he looks to prove himself to Ten Hag, while Hojlund needs games to add to his goalscoring account. I would give Alejandro Garnacho a chance from the start and bring on Marcus Rashford in the latter stages if a goal is required.
Predicted Manchester United XI vs Crystal Palace: Onana; Dalot, Lindelof, Evans, Reguilon; Amrabat, Hannibal, Fernandes; Pellistri, Hojlund, Garnacho.

Where’s RASHFORD
I’d keep him as an option on the bench.
Well he hasn’t done much recently so won’t be missed tonight
Creating plenty of chances. The goals will come. Remember… he scored 30 of them last season.
