Harry Kane expects difficult game against Manchester United in Champions League

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has warned his new teammates that Manchester United will be a ‘dangerous’ opponent when the two teams start their 2023/24 Champions League campaign on Wednesday.

Manchester United considered a move for Harry Kane in the summer, but the England captain ended up signing for Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich. Now Erik ten Hag is preparing his side to face the German giants who are now led in attack by the English goalscorer.

Kane, 30, has scored four goals in as many Bundesliga games since the start of the season and Rio Ferdinand is fearing the worst about his presence on the pitch for United’s sake.

It is set to be Kane’s first appearance in the Champions League for Bayern Munich and it’s a trophy he will be aiming to win during his time in Germany. This game gives us a chance to see United against a team that will fancy their chances to go all the way in Europe this season.

However, speaking to Sports Illustrated ahead of the game against United, Kane said: “A difficult game.

“I know that Manchester United are having a difficult moment at the moment but, sometimes, teams like that are dangerous because they’re always looking to come back in a big way. So we have to be prepared for and want to get the crowd behind us as early as possible.

“[Bayern want to] approach the game with a lot of intensity. The Champions League is always special and my first game with Bayern Munich will stay with me, so I hope it goes well.”

Well, on that note Harry, I hope it end terribly for you and United come away with three points.

That said, the best I think we can hope for at the moment is a draw.
