Manchester United Women midfielder Bøe Risa joins Atletico Madrid

Manchester United Women announced the news of Vilde Bøe Risa’s departure this morning.

After signing for Manchester United from Norwegian side Sandviken in 2021, Bøe Risa made 44 appearances and scored eight goals.

A lot of those appearances came from the bench, so some might say her exit has not come as a surprise.

It has been reported that Bøe Risa has joined Atletico Madrid – as per BBC Sport – where she will be hoping to become a key player in the Spanish side.

Bøe Risa is the second player to leave the women’s squad in the past 24 hours as she follows Adriana Leon out the door. The Canada international joined WSL outfit Aston Villa.

It remains to be seen if Marc Skinner will be granted the chance to add to his squad on transfer deadline day. He has lost 14 senior players this summer.
