Manchester United Women confirmed on Monday, 11 September, that striker Adriana Leon has joined Aston Villa ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Leon has not been at United for a long time, only arriving in July 2022. She made nine appearances for the Reds, scoring three goals.
The Canada international joined NWSL side Portland Thomas for the second half of last season on loan, so the writing was on the wall that she was surplus to requirements under United manager Marc Skinner.
However, Leon represented Canada at this summer’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
