Manchester United are making the trip down to North London this weekend to take on longtime rivals, Arsenal.

The two Premier League giants will go head-to-head on Sunday, September 3 in a 4.30pm kick-off at the Emirates.

Erik ten Hag’s squad has been plagued with injuries across the summer and he has since been dealt with three further setbacks; Mason Mount, Luke Shaw and Raphael Varane are all sidelined for the upcoming weeks. Shaw’s issue is seemingly the most serious, as he could be out of action until November.

Consequently, the board were forced to act and acquire coverage on the left flank, with Tyrell Malacia also unavailable long-term. United have signed Sergio Reguilon on loan from Tottenham Hotspur and he has already trained with the squad, so is in contention to feature on Sunday.

Ten Hag also confirmed that Rasmus Hojlund is in line to make his club debut. A back problem ruled him out of United’s opening three games but he is now match fit and raring to go, and supporters are eagerly awaiting his first outing. Whether he’ll start or be utilised as a substitute remains to be seen.

A deal has finally been agreed for Sofyan Amrabat, who will join on loan from Fiorentina to bolster the midfield. It is, however, unlikely that he’ll be registered in time to make the matchday squad.

Amad Diallo, Kobbie Mainoo and Tom Heaton are all ruled out.
