Here we go: Romano confirms Manchester United have reached an agreement to sign Sofyan Amrabat

Fabrizio Romano has finally said those long-awaited three words in regards to Manchester United’s pursuit of Sofyan Amrabat.

It appears as though Erik ten Hag will get his man just in time, with the Moroccan international now poised to make a deadline-day switch from Fiorentina to the Red Devils.

Romano is yet to confirm whether it’s a loan or a permanent deal, so we’ll update throughout the day as more information comes in.

Amrabat, 27, has been actively pushing for a move to the 20-time English champions all summer and will breathe a sigh of relief when he finally puts pen to paper on the deal. He is now on his way to England to undergo his medical.

Amrabat to United

He will become United’s fifth signing of the summer after Altay Bayindir’s arrival was announced earlier on Friday morning.

A new midfielder was crucial for Ten Hag, especially following Mason Mount’s injury, and he’ll now have the experienced playmaker at his disposal for the season ahead.
