Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Sergio Reguilon is in contention to make his debut against Arsenal on Sunday.
The defender has signed on a loan move Tottenham Hotspur to provide coverage at left-back in Luke Shaw’s absence, with Tyrell Malacia also sidelined long-term.
Ten Hag was forced to deploy Diogo Dalot out of position in last Saturday’s game against Nottingham Forest, so now has the option of a natural left-sided player starting at the Emirates.
United are yet to formally announce Reguilon’s arrival but he has already trained with his new teammates at Carrington.
“He is here, he trained,” Ten Hag said. “Yes [he will be available for Sunday].”
