Facundo Pellistri is reportedly in talks over a season-long loan move to Sheffield United, as per The Telegraph.
The youngster has featured for Manchester United in their opening two games of the campaign but has been granted just 18 minutes in total to showcase his talents across the 180 minutes.
Across the summer, all signs have pointed towards Pellistri departing Old Trafford on loan and the club even rebuffed approaches from non-European sides, with Erik ten Hag keen for the winger to continue his development in one of the top leagues in Europe.
This now appears to have been sought, as Pellistri looks set to make the move to Bramall Lane to join the newly-promoted Blades in their return to the top division.
Pellistri regarded highly by fans
Pellistri, 21, is highly rated by the United faithful and one player that fans are reluctant to see leave – even if it’s on a temporary basis.
He is an exciting prospect and could’ve made a difference off-the-bench for the side this term, similar to Alejandro Garnacho’s breakthrough last season, but more game time will be pivotal in his rise to senior football and hopefully, he can return to M16 ready to fight for a starting role next summer.
