Eric Bailly won’t be joining Al Nassr this summer.
The Ivorian defender has been linked with a move away from Manchester United all summer, but a potential switch to Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr appears to have collapsed.
Bailly has never really had a place in Erik ten Hag’s plans after being sent on loan to Marseille. Furthermore, he was not part of the group throughout pre-season.
It goes without saying that Bailly is considered to be surplus to requirements at Old Trafford, but he is not going to command a large transfer fee.
For United it’s important to get him off the wage books.
According to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth, Al Nassr are turning their attention to signing Man City defender Aymeric Laporte instead of Bailly.
