Dean Henderson transfer to Nottingham Forest in doubt

There are no guarantees that Dean Henderson will be leaving Manchester United for Nottingham Forest this summer.

I think a lot of us (fans) have been guilty of assuming it was only a matter of time before United and Forest agreed terms over a transfer that would see Henderson move to the City Ground.

However, recent reports suggest Forest want a loan deal – potentially including an obligation – because of apparent fears over Henderson’s fitness.

That means United would be forced to reconsider suitors for Henderson.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Forest are planning to sign just one keeper this summer and it’s between Henderson and Arsenal’s Matt Turner.

Forest have already asked Arsenal for final conditions of a deal for Turner, and Romano believes they want him on a permanent deal.

This may mean Henderson’s move to Forest is in serious jeopardy and he won’t be first choice keeper at United.

It is believed Arsenal could look to move Turner on after turning their attention to Brentford’s highly-rated David Raya.

The future looks bleak for Henderson. Perhaps a club like Brentford might come knocking for his signature?

  1. I think Utd should keep him just in case. Not yet sure about Onana. Always worry when goalies are praised for their part in supporting the attack as opposed to doing what they should be doing. Ensuring that the doesn’t concede goals!

    1. Joined Arsenal from New England Revolution in 2022 and he was highly thought of in the MLS. Yet to make his Arsenal debut.
