Manchester United face Borussia Dortmund at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Monday in the early hours. We will be bringing you all of the action from it, but first here’s our predicted line-up to take on the Bundesliga outfit.
The tour of the United States comes to an end when United take on Borussia Dortmund.
Erik ten Hag’s side will be aiming for a better result than what they managed in the 2-0 defeat Real Madrid in Houston.
Monday morning’s game will also be a chance for former United midfielder Marcel Sabitzer to make his Borussia Dortmund debut after joining them from German rivals Bayern Munich.
The manager named a strong side against the Spanish giants, though Kobbie Mainoo sustained a serious ankle injury just 3 minutes in and will miss the start of the new season. His absence could see a slight reshuffle in midfield, with Mason Mount dropping deep to sit alongside Casemiro to allow Bruno Fernandes operate in his preferred advanced positions.
Andre Onana will start between the posts, but I think we could see a change at right-back to give Diogo Dalot some much needed minutes on tour. The rest of the defence should remain: Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw.
Up front, we are still waiting for a new striker to join the squad. Antony has a chance to make something of what has been an underwhelming pre-season so far, while I think we’ll see Marcus Rashford lead the line and Alejandro Garnacho on the left.
