Manchester United team news vs Wrexham: 15 Reds fly to US to join up with squad

Team news for the second fixture of Manchester United’s pre-season tour of the United States against Wrexham.

As confirmed today by the Man Utd website, 15 Reds have made the trip over to San Diego to bolster Erik ten Hag’s options ahead of a packed schedule that includes two games in two days.

The players that have flown over are Sonny Aljofree
, Toby Collyer,
Jonny Evans,
Will Fish
, Isak Hansen-Aaroen,
Elyh Harrison,
Joe Hugill,
Marc Jurado
, Willy Kambwala
, Charlie McNeill
, Dermot Mee
, Mateo Mejia
, Maxi Oyedele,
Logan Pye
 and Shola Shoretire.

As you can probably tell, it’s looking highly likely the manager will deploy a youthful starting 11 and save the senior figures for Thursday’s clash with European giants Real Madrid, which gives the Academy players an excellent opportunity to test their resolve against the League Two outfit during Wednesday’s outing.

Kick-off is certainly one that UK fans aren’t accustomed to, as the teams will head out at 3.30 am BST. A strong coffee will be needed for those that are planning to either stay up or start the day early to tune in!

One Red returns to action after spell on sidelines

Anthony Martial returned to full training this week after he tore his hamstring on the final day of the 2022/2023 Premier League campaign. The club are, however, proceeding with caution over his involvement due to fitness concerns, given his injury history.
