Everton make Tom Heaton enquiry ahead of keeper shake-up at Manchester United

It has emerged that Everton have made an enquiry about signing Tom Heaton.

Manchester United already blocked a move away for the 37-year-old after newly-promoted Luton expressed their interest.

According to The Mirror, Everton have made an official enquiry to find out more about Heaton’s situation at Old Trafford.

Sean Dyche, who worked with Heaton at Burnley, is understood to want to bring the experienced goalkeeper to Goodison Park.

But Erik ten Hag will have different plans because he will likely want to keep Heaton. David de Gea has already been released and Dean Henderson is expected to join Nottingham Forest before the new season.

However, United are being heavily linked with a big-money move for Inter Milan keeper Andre Onana.

The Reds are also reportedly looking at Japan U21 keeper Zion Suzuki.

Since United pushed back interest from Luton, there’s plenty of reason to believe we’ll do the same to Everton.
