Manchester United in advanced talks to sign Zion Suzuki as back-up keeper

Manchester United have held talks with the agent of Urawa Red Diamonds goalkeeper Zion Suzuki.

The Reds, who could recruit two new goalkeepers this summer, have reportedly touched base with the shot-stopper’s entourage amid the prospect of signing him.

Manchester United are currently working on a deal to sign Inter Milan’s Andre Onana to replace David de Gea as our No.1.

According to the Manchester Evening News, United have held talks with the agent of Urawa Red Diamonds and Japan U21 keeper Zion Suzuki.

A bid is expected once United get assurances from the player’s camp, and nobody is expecting that to be a problem.

Suzuki could join as Onana’s back-up in a turn of events that would see United reinforce their spine of the team.

It means we could be transiting completely from a team that couldn’t play out from the back, without a sweeper keeper in the squad. Next season we could have two.
