Inter Milan’s CEO confirms they are awaiting a bid from Manchester United

Inter Milan’s CEO has announced that Manchester United have concrete interest in Andre Onana.

Beppe Marotta said, as per Fabrizio Romano“Manchester United confirmed to us that they’re interested in Andre Onana. We are waiting for an official proposal in the next days, then we will decide how to react right after.”

The Serie A club will reportedly demand a fee in the region of €50 – 55 million to sanction Onana’s exit this summer, just one year on from his arrival in Milan.

A deal would see the Cameroon international reunite with his former coach Erik ten Hag, whom he played under throughout his time at Ajax.

Given Mason Mount’s impending arrival at Old Trafford, with a medical now scheduled for Monday, Onana could be the second signing of what’s hopefully a busy transfer window for United.

De Gea’s future remains unclear

Meanwhile, David de Gea’s contract expires at midnight. The club have scheduled face-to-face talks for next week, as the Spaniard is getting married to his long-term partner this weekend.

His future currently remains unclear but judging by the club’s pursuit of Onana, it would make clear their intentions for the No.1 spot.
