The pair have worked their way through the ranks at academy level to play key roles in the Blues’ first team set-up.

Now though, Mount is ready to take on a new challenge and will be making the switch to Red ahead of his move to Old Trafford.

United schedule Mount medical

According to Matt Law, the 24-year-old will undergo his medical on Monday, July 3 and assuming all is successful, he’ll be ready for United’s pre-season tour which kicks off on July 12.

In 195 appearances for Chelsea, he scored 33 goals and assisted a further 37. The England international will now play a pivotal role in Erik ten Hag’s midfield as the manager looks to build on a promising season in M16.
