Manchester United set to offer deal worth £85m+ for Declan Rice

Manchester United have always been considered outsiders in the race to sign Declan Rice.

It was previously thought that the England international would prefer to stay in London should he leave West Ham, however, Man City’s interest has thrown a spanner in the works because they could easily outbid Arsenal.

Rice, 24, has a choice of clubs but it remains to be seen if United can make an offer to compete with Arsenal and City.

According to Football Insider, United are set to make a unique offer that will include a transfer fee plus two players in exchange for Rice.

Rice is believed to be a midfield target – but United appear to be prioritising a move for Mason Mount after having three bids rejected by Chelsea.

Two players linked with an exchange deal with West Ham are Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay.

It seems hard to believe that we’d offer Maguire, McTominay and £45m like the article suggests, though.

If reports in the media are anything to go by then United are offering a deal worth more than £85m for Rice – if Maguire was the other player to be offered.

According to the Daily Mail, Maguire is valued at around £40m and would.

West Ham have been linked with both players in the past, so they already have an interest in them.

This is one to keep an eye on as the race for Rice heats up.
