Rashford is enjoying working under Erik ten Hag and is prepared to commit his long-term future to his boyhood club.
Reports suggest that the new deal could see the 25-year-old become the club’s highest earner on around £375,000-a-week. David de Gea currently earns this amount but is in talks with United over a significant pay cut.
Rashford is here to stay
It’s no surprise that Rashford is being awarded lucrative new terms, as he was a standout performer across the past season; he became the first player in 10 years to net 30 goals in all competitions, oversaw the most prolific campaign of his career so far and took home the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award.
He played a pivotal role in securing a top-four finish and Champions League qualification, as well as ending United’s six-year trophy drought by scoring the second goal in the Reds’ 2-0 win in the Carabao Cup final.
