Manchester United are reportedly interested in Leeds United’s Robin Koch.

That’s according to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports anyway, and he’s suggested that the two rivals have held “loose talks” over a potential deal.

There’s a chance that should a transfer be completed, it could turn out to be some wise business from the Reds, just like it was when Eric Cantona and Rio Ferdinand made the switch to the bigger and more successful club.

Koch likely to leave Leeds

However, Koch is a bit of a shock. He has one year remaining on his deal at Elland Road but is expected to leave the Whites in the coming weeks, after being a part of the squad that failed to obtain Premier League survival and fell to the Championship.

The 26-year-old arrived at Leeds back in 2020 for a fee of £13 million, and it’s currently unknown what the club are hoping to recuperate if his exit materialises.
