Manchester United are seemingly making moves in their pursuit of Napoli’s Kim Min-jae.
Yesterday, it was confirmed that the Red Devils had held meetings over the potential transfer of the defender and were scheduling more for the coming weeks.
Now, according to a report from Calcio Mercato this morning, United have made their proposal to Min-jae, with the player ready to “say yes” to the move.
The club have reportedly met with the player’s agents to discuss a multi-year contract worth £6 million net per season.
Reds ready to activate release clause
His release clause of roughly £51.7 million can be activated from July 1 and is only valid until July 15. United are looking to finalise all the terms and details before that period so that when it comes, all that’s left to do is dot the i’s and cross the t’s.
Min-jae, 26, made 45 appearances for Napoli this season and played a pivotal role in ending their 33-year wait for the Scudetto.
The defensive stalwart would provide competition and backup to Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez.
We need him and they must act quickly to get him in time
