Manchester United are active in their pursuit of Napoli’s Kim Min-jae.
According to reporter Alfredo Pedulla, the Red Devils have already held two meetings over Min-jae and have scheduled further ones as they continue to navigate a potential transfer for the defender.
They have “strong interest” in the South Korean, who played a pivotal role in ending Napoli’s 33-year wait for the Scudetto, which they lifted after an emphatic campaign in Serie A this year.
#Kim–#ManchesterUnited: already two meeting and strong interest, but no signs at the moment. The salary would be 6-7mln plus add ons. Scheduled new meetings, the release clause is about 60mln and would be activate from 1st to 15th july

When he made the switch from Fenerbache to the Italian club last summer, a release clause was included in his contract. This can be activated from July 1 to July 15, giving United several weeks to negotiate terms with the player and Napoli ahead of the window.
This season, he made 45 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals and assisting two in that time.
Min-jae’s role at centre-back
He would come in to provide depth and competition to Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez. The pair formed a formidable partnership upon the Argentine’s arrival last July, though his season was cut short after he sustained a metatarsal injury.
Varane has also struggled with injuries since his arrival at Old Trafford, so having another world-class, defensive stalwart at Erik ten Hag’s disposal wouldn’t go amiss.
